The walk on Sat 09 Nov 2019 will broadly, but not exclusively, focus on Diaghilev and the Ballet Russes. The Ballet Russes performed about half of all their performances in London in a number of different theatres in the 1920s. There is still evidence of the buildings where costume designers, wig makers and shoe makers supplied the Company. The tour will be led by Rachel Kolsky who runs the very successful Go London Tours and while she makes no pretensions to be a ballet-historian she has a very extensive knowledge of London’s history and we can be guaranteed a lively and fascinating couple of hours.
